On Wednesday, April 30, 2025, all banks in Karnataka will remain closed in observance of Basava Jayanti and Akshaya Tritiya. These festivals are recognized as public holidays in the state, leading to the closure of banking services for the day.

Basava Jayanti commemorates the birth anniversary of Jagadguru Basaveshwara, a 12th-century philosopher and social reformer who played a pivotal role in promoting equality and social justice. The day is celebrated with various cultural events, processions, and community gatherings across Karnataka.

Akshaya Tritiya, also known as Akha Teej, is considered an auspicious day in the Hindu calendar. It is believed that any venture initiated on this day will be successful and bring prosperity. Many people choose this day to make significant purchases, especially gold and property, and to start new business endeavors.

Please note that while physical bank branches will be closed, online banking services, ATMs, and mobile banking applications will remain operational, allowing customers to perform essential transactions without interruption.
